Isaac Son, President

Isaac is the founder of College Prep. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University and attending Princeton Theological Seminary, Isaac was headed to medical school until he discovered the joys of teaching. He found that he enjoyed working with students and parents, especially with something as important as college admissions. Isaac still plans and teaches the math and chemistry courses on a regular basis - spending time in the classroom and joking with his students are still the favorite parts of his job. When not in the office, Isaac enjoys cheering for his beloved Washington Redskins.

Steven Gable, Assistant Director

Steven joined the College Prep staff in the autumn of 2005. He graduated with a PhD in philosophy from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He finds the interaction with his students to be the most rewarding aspect of teaching. His favorite SAT word is “vex,” based on the persistent questioning as to its meaning by one of his current students.

Faiza Malik, Science and Mathematics Instructor

Faiza attended Imperial College in London with a major in chemistry. After graduating , Faiza pursued her graduate studies in biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park. Currently, Faiza teaches SAT Math for the Reasoning Test (SAT I), SAT II Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. She has an uncanny ability to take complex ideas and explain them through association and visualization. She also has a genuine concern for her students and goes the extra mile to make sure they understand the concepts taught in class. Her teaching skills are only matched by her interpersonal skills which bring out the best in every one of her students.

Sarah Son, Curriculum Development

Even before graduating from Georgetown University, Sarah worked at College Prep, designing and implementing the verbal curricula. Her favorite part of teaching is sharing with the students the quirks of the English language; one of her favorite words is “serendipity.”  She recently finished a master's in theological studies at Wesley Theological Seminary.  When she is not busy driving her kids around (or when they are not driving her nuts), Sarah can be found trying to catch up on old issues of The Atlantic and New Yorker magazines.

Lindsay Robinson, English Instructor

Lindsay received her Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College with Honors in Political Science and International Studies. She is currently attending Georgetown University for her Masters. In addition to a nearly 4.0 gpa, she achieved perfect scores on her GRE, SAT V, and perfect scores on six AP tests! She is also a member of several honorary organizations including Phi Beta Kappa - the oldest undergraduate honors organization in the United States. She is an invaluable asset at College Prep, motivating her students and leading by example.

Robert Rogers, Business Manager

Rob attended the University of Maryland, College Park with a major in computer science, while also extensively studying law. Local to the Washington DC Metro Area all his life, he is known as the "go to" guy for everything among his family, friends, and colleagues. Rob is truly the unsung hero at College Prep and keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.
